Main Page
Welcome to WardWiki
This wiki site is intended to contain details of the descendants of Michael Ward and Ann Ryan, as well as details of Irish ancestors and relations.
The initial pages in this wiki have been extracted from Ward's Trek. A wiki though allows anyone to edit or add pages to continue the story.
I hope you enjoy WardWiki and participate to create the complete Ward family story.
Getting started
The search bar to the left enables you to search for a particular relative in the family tree. Most pages relate to individuals in the tree and their spouses. There are also some pages dealing with particular topics.
Some useful places to start include:
- Michael Ward & Ann Ryan, the first generation of the Ward family in Australia.
- John Ward & Margaret O'Shea, which includes details of Michael's parents and family in Ireland.
- Henry numbering system, to learn about this useful numbering system that is used on the Ward family website.
- Rathwood, to learn about this townland in Limerick - home to our Ward family line from about 1750.
Editing the wiki
Although you entered a password just to get to this site, and this controls who gets to read this wiki, to edit you must also logon to the wiki. A username has not been setup for this purpose. Please use the Register process by clicking at the top right of this screen to set up your username. I encourage you to use the same username and password for all parts of the Ward family website.
Photographs
For the time being, there are no photos included within the wiki, although they would of course enhance the material. There is a gallery of photographs on this website at http://www.ward.id.au/gallery3. Here you will find many photographs from Ward's Trek and a few others and are invited to upload more to the collection. This is a better way to manage and browse photographs from our past.
